Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

The main purpose of this blog is to have Masses said and multitudes of people praying for the repose of those souls who have gone before us. Please contact me at mortuum_mundo@mac.com if you have someone that you would like me to add to this site. (When sending me the person's info, please include a picture and a little bit about the person as well, especially their dates of entering and leaving this life.)
Requiem Æternam
Réquiem ætérnam dona eis, Dómine, et lux perpétua lúceat eis. Requiéscant in pace. Amen.
“If we desire to make certain of heaven, dear friends, let us pray fervently for the souls in Purgatory. It may even be asserted that praying devoutly for the souls in Purgatory is an almost sure sign of salvation. If we have been faithful in praying for these poor souls then they will in turn help us. Throwing themselves at God’s feet they will plead: “Lord, have mercy for this poor soul, grace and mercy for her! Be merciful, Oh God, to this charitable soul who rescued us from the flames and satisfied Divine Justice” - St John Vianney
"It is therefore a holy and wholesome thing to pray for the dead that they may be loosed from their sins..." 2Maccabees 12:46
